A good friend of mine recently 'passed' and in his papers are several photographs of a MMM car he once owned. His daughter has asked me if I can find out any information about the car (exact model, year history, POs etc) and if it still survives. It does not appear on DVLC.

Keith It is a 1932 F-type salonette, F0316. It was sold through this website in 2017, so its current owner might be a member of these forums. Nick

Thank you Nick, that's very helpful. Let's hope the current owner picks up on this post. |

Fitted with larger brake gear. ( I should never have parted with my salonette, lovely looking cars.) Chris |

F0316 had that colour scheme when it was sold on this forum, so almost certainly the car.

Hello, Keith. I typed in ‘MG F1 Salonette sale’,( on my iPad) and the car came up. Green roof and white (or cream) body. Cheers, Chris

I'm confused with the various pictures of this car - it appears to have lost the bigger brakes if it is the same car.

There are also some more photos on https://www.fmagna.org.uk/F0316.html |

It also appears to have lost a gear ratio?

I have a number of photos of a green over OEW car RY 9812 so I'm guessing this is the one people are wondering about, not TM 9731?
This, having small brakes, may well be the one pictured by Duncan.

I didn't know about RY.
On Fmagna.org Ian has a photo of F0316 in white with 8" brakes etc and with the TM number plate.. |

The plot thickens!!!!The picture I posted was taken in C1960. Do we know what the original factory colour scheme was? I've just been told that this car is in USA with a Bill Allbright. Can anyone confirm?

F0316, original registration TM 9731, now RY 9812, was originally green with green upholstery.
All three cars pictured here are the same one - F0316. For some strange reason it’s not accessible on the online Register listing, nor is it listed in the printed Register although the current registration number is listed against F0316. All very odd!
