Yes Simon, the agreement was that K3001 and J4002 would go back to Abingdon after a year's loan.
Bobby Kohlrausch knew - - ‘ you can do it with an MG ! ’
But for a better understanding, here a list of Kohlrausch's MGs. K3001- - In 1934 Bobby received this ex. Earl Howe Mille Miglia K3 on loan for 1 year from Abingdon in 1934, together with J4002 (the newly rebuilt ex. Hamilton J4) Both MG's were repainted white in the German racing colours at the MG factory, and Bobby's gifted racing mechanic Athur Baldt personally collected both cars from the MG factory. Bobby competed in an incredible number of mainly hill climb races, winning most of them. In April 1935, both cars were returned to the factory, overhauled and repainted British Racing Green. K3001 (sold to H.J.P. Williams) and J4002 (sold to Peggy Blathwayt)
EX154 was built for Bobby in 1935 at Abingdon on a P-type chassis, with a Q-specification engine and J4 body. With this car Bobby was again very successful in road and hillclimb races until he sold the car in 1938, together with his double-decker Opel racing transporter, to the German ‘Mölders Racing Team Offenburg’.
EX 127 the famous ex. Eyston Magic Midget was also painted white in Abingdon in 1934 and used by Bobby for hill climbs. However, Bobby achieved his greatest success with EX127 in his record attempts. First in Gyon in Hungary, but then on the Frankfurt-Darmstadt motorway, where he set new records of over 140 mph from 750 cc. His Furious ascent 1935 with the Magic Midget at the Shelsley Walsh hillclimb remains unforgettable. But then in 1939 the car was passed on to Daimler-Benz for political reasons.

But seemingly not ownership, Teifion?
That’s terrific info, Gerhard. Thank you for taking the trouble to put it all together for us.

Neil, I see from Safety Fast! that you’re giving a talk on Hammy Hamilton at the Vintage Register AGM. In that case, you might find the article on him in the 2016 Triple-M Register Yearbook useful. It was written by a local motoring historian here in Norn Iron, Mike Wylie, who researched his subject at great length, even managing to make contact with Hamilton's mother. The Yearbook is still available from the Triple-M Library for the measly sum of £9 (plus postage)
