This photo of a P-Type is taken from p.75 of 'Motoring in the 20s and 30s' by Brian Demaus (Batsford 1979 ISBN 0 7134 1538 X) and may be well-known elsewhere.
The P-Type is not immediately identifiable, but the driver has the seat well-forward and seems to be of short stature. The car is immaculate with trials spare-wheels, has Bonora filler-caps front and back and apparently silver-painted brake drums.
Horror of horrors, Union Flags are affixed, seen by some as a serious lapse of taste today!
Similar flags are seen on the dancing daughter's Le Mans cars. I always fancied that this was Mac Mcdermid, who has a certain similarity on those few pics where his face is visible, but it is just my hunch...
Regards, Graham
ps I had adhesive Union Jacks on my car in the past, but they did not reappear after a respray!
