On reflection I think this photo would have been taken after my ownership. When I purchased it in about 63 it was not in such good condition and the tyres were bald - I stripped and rebuilt the car and fitted the Dunlops shown in the picture. I also fitted a F... engine from an Elva racing car and hydraulic brakes. Also the car did not have centre laced rear wheels in my ownership or the odd headlamps in the picture. Other things such as the damage to the front apron are however consistant. Maybe it went back to the Bones for later sale and that this picture was taken then. Would be interested in the date of the picture Adrian. Terry

How marvellous for Terry to find his old car. A Riley friend told me the other day he'd Googled the registration of his pre-war car and came up with quite a number of photos of it. I tried with the P and the only pic I got was one I'd taken myself! I tried with my post war MGs and got nothing, but the Riley RMC Roadster I had in the '60s turned up two or three pics that are probably 21st century.

That is the mk1 18/80 of Morgan Marshall that he used for trialing. Although it has a speed model body, and has carried that body for many decades, the chassis (6570) appears to predates the body by a few months so I presume an early rebody, possibly at the factory. Either way a well used car and a great photo. |

That is the Mk1 of Morgan Marshall, I don't think Morgan is in any of the pictures, but it could be a young Peter Jones in the white shirt. The car is now owned by an american but is kept and cared for by a VSCC man in this country who makes good use of it. A coupe of years ago it was the STAR car in the foyer of the RAC in Pall Mall in London
Oops can someone turn the pictures round please.

I have found my other small Bone catalogue and attach pictures from one of the pages, it contains a couple of photos posted earlier but also shows MG 2415 and MG 1976.
MG 2415 is chassis L2002 which is owned by Chris Nowlan in the USA. The car is supercharged, has an ENV75 pre-select gearbox and has been very well restored and raced with success by Chris.
MG 1976 is chassis F1479 which is the ex Bira "Fidget" now owned and restored by Urs Langen who also owns an NE and the ex-Evans and ex- K Hall trials J2.
Nostalgic photos! The catalogue also contains other photos of the amazing selection of used spares e.g. 14 sumps and and 9 assorted 4 and 6 cylinder blocks.
George Registrar F/L/N types.

Here is another picture of L2002 when owned by the Bone Brothers taken in the early 1960s at an early Beaulieu MMM gathering.

BPD 403 is K3018 which lives in the Beer collection.

Tony,
I remember seeing the car in the paddock at Silverstone in the early 70s it had an ENV type 110 preselector fitted.
