I have added a "Member Locate" function, accessed from the menu at the top of the page. Select a country and all members who have a country AND a city in their profile will be shown for that country. The search will also show the type(s) of cars owned once that information has been added to their profile. PLEASE UPDATE YOUR PROFILE WITH YOUR COUNTRY, CITY AND TYPE(S). At the moment, the field in your profile where you add the types of MGs you own is labelled "OCCUPATION", I haven't managed to persuade it to change to Type(s) yet, I will work on that. As with the member search you can then click on the column header to change the search criteria and search order, City is probably the most useful. Nick

Well done Nick. This I know will be a helpful addition to the forum. One problem though is that having tried to update my profile with my car types it tells me "There Was A Problem With Your Details
You Must Provide Your Date Of Birth"
How do I get round that? Keith

Keith, I just updated my profile and had the same error. I tried this a few times and then it worked. Try again, the problem looks like it's been fixed.

Not fixed yet. I have tried several times and it still tells me it needs my date of birth despite it being entered.
Will try again tomorrow.
However, another great job Nick. Many thanks.

There seems to be a bug in the birthdate. To save lots of aggravation, I will turn that function off (it is only an anti-spam feature).
Please try again to update your profile.

Peter, Fred and Keith,
I also had the same 'you must provide your birth date' problem.
I found that you have to first select a different birth year than the one that is shown. This then drops down the month selection tab. You can then reselect your actual birth year, then enter the month which drops the day selection tab. Date completed, clicked submit and the program then accepted my update OK.
Hope this is of help.

Fred,
Just checked my profile and found that Nick seems to have removed the need for a birth date so updating should now work OK. I will try P type as my occupation and see!
Regards, Alan

Update worked OK. Thanks Nick. |

Brilliantly done as usual Nick. In a way though it's a shame you altered the field from "Occupation", it was quite appropriate really.
My profile is now updated with PA without disclosing my pre-historic birth date!
