I understand from the seller that the car is not a German-resident K1, but he will not divulge the id!

Looks like an older swedish number plate. The first letter "A" tell us that it is a car from the Stockholm area!

It is thought (possibly) to be K0385 but the vendor (dealer) is unwilling to divulge the identity. He appears more concerned with posting misleading pictures of other K1s within his ad!

I do not think it is K0385.

If you take a look at the pictures in the Members' Car section you see the seller shows a picture of K0334.

Perhaps there is a German member living closeby the seller who can take a look at the car. This seems fishy to me. No chassis number, using photos of other K-types, ...

Hmmm.

As the current owner of MG K1 [MMM797] in the top picture - side on, so no number plate - I CONFIRM THIS CAR IS NOT FOR SALE - I have emailed the Advertiser asking him to remove the picture which is being used without my permission!
As his other picture are not K1s either I am annoyed I am being put in this difficult position.
Thanks to OliverR for alerting me! Christopher H 07775 847 811 - We will be at Brooklands on Sunday for any personal contact!

Thanks Chrstopher. A good and necessary move on your part!

Evidently the car resides in Stokholm.

I am fairly sure the top photo in David's link is of Peter ?'s car at Barrington and I think it was taken when he sold it a year or so ago. It was immaculate.

Cheers

The two 'period' pictures appear to be of a K2.

Hi all,

The car has been i Sweden but when it was sold I have no information of!
It is K1 0385, I found a photo in an old MG Gazette from 1981, Swedish MG Car Club paper at that time!

The information tells that the car had extra equipment for racing, an a GT-drivingseat and more instruments. A swedish man by the name Carl-Magnus Skoog bought it from Norway to use for racing. He met a nice norwegian lady and stayed in Norway! In 1981 when the paper was made the car was owned by a Swedish Porsche Dealer, Lasse Jönsson, in Karlstad. I saw the car in 1982 when visiting Karlstad. What happened then i don't know but it is of course possible to contact Lasse Jönsson to get more information!

Best regards

Hi again,

Sorry but I beleive that I missed a line or two when trying to translate the swedish words!

Carl Magnus Skoog bought the car from an englishman who arrived in Norway to race with the car! It was the englishman who met a nice Norwegian and stayed in Norway. Then Carl-Magnus Skoog bought the car!

What I can see of the photos not that much has happened during the last 30-years, since I saw the car at a Porsche Club Meeting!

All, Just to confirm, after being in touch with the Dealer last night - he agreed to take the photo of my car - K0334 off his ad [apparently came from seller!]and has added the one from his web site. For anybody interested in the car, the posting of link by David Downes gives a more detailed set of pictures of the car! Somewhat different to the initial impression I think. I would like to thank concerned MMM people who alerted me to this and helped to achieve this sensible resolution.
I hope to see some of you at Brooklands tomorrow! Regards, Christopher H
